Accounting Education Institute (AEI) was originally formed by Jim Colville to provide education to the business community. The mission quickly changed by adding the acedemic and business community. When done, AEI will be a partnership of efforts of AEI, the local universities, CPA firms and company sponsors and others with a common goal. This will be accomplished by involving the partners in several different ways:

Universities - Students will help with the planning and organization of the events with the objectives of getting them involved directly with businesses in the community, understanding real world topics and issues, and for AEI to provide  support to the universities and students by contributing event profits to the scholarship funds and/or directly to qualifying students.

CPA firms and companies - They will help by providing us with relavent topics and issues as the basis for events or the individual topics in an event. Part of our mission is to use professionals as spreakers that are active in their profession. Many of these will come from these entities. Financial support may be provided by some of these companies.
